Special Day at Brentford FC Training Ground
On Tuesday over 50 Brentford FC Community Sports Trust participants were taken on a special visit to the Brentford FC Training Ground. All participants watched the Bees train, followed by the special opportunity to meet the first team players.
The memorable day kicked off as the enthusiastic group of Brentford FC Community Sports Trust participants arrived at Brentford FC’s Jersey Road training ground. Their excitement was visible, as they were about to watch the men's first team train, a dream come true for many.
Highlighting the diverse work of the Trust, the participants represented a range of key departments and programmes, including Health, Community Engagement, Young Carers, Changemakers and National Citizen Service (NCS), Girls Football and Education.
Mr. Brentford and History of Brentford FC
Before watching the players train, Club Ambassador Peter Gilham delivered an engaging presentation that delved into the rich history of Brentford FC and offered insights into the inner workings of the training ground. Peter Gilham's extensive knowledge and passion for the club's heritage deepened the participants' connection to the Brentford FC community.
Prior to heading outside to watch the players train a group of Chair Based Exercise participants bellowed out their own rendition of the Club’s now infamous anthem, Hey Jude.
After seeing the Brentford stars put through their paces, the morning rounded off with the Trust participants meeting the players and of course, grabbing some treasured selfies and photos.
The unique experience left all Trust participants with smiles on their faces and embodies the core values of the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, promoting inclusion and inspiring our community to remain motivated and engaged through off-field experiences.
