During Children’s Mental Health Week, the Trust held a networking event with Advantage Mentoring at our Community Stadium Hub.

Advantage Mentoring is a free, weekly one-to-one mentoring programme delivered by football clubs for young people between the ages of 14 and 21, to support participants' mental health and well-being.

The event brought like-minded professionals together to widen their understanding of the local community offer to children and young people and build their network and partnership opportunities.

Organisations Across Hounslow and Ealing

Over 15 organisations from across the Hounslow and Ealing area came together to showcase the plethora of opportunities available to Children and Young People in the local area, including opportunities at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust and West London NHS Trust.

Various stallholders attended on the day, including Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind, YGAM (Young Gamers & Gamblers Education Trust), Youth Justice Services & DWP and many more.

Speaker Panel

During the event Advantage Mentoring Regional Project Manager, Adrian Salisbury hosted a panel Q&A discussion with mentors from the Trust who shared their experiences working first-hand with young people.

Chris Barrett, Senior Education Manager at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust commented, "It was fantastic to see the variety of different organisations in the same room discussing collaborations for the future. One of our key strengths is working in partnership and I am confident that the conversations taking place at this event will provide another layer of support for young people in the area."
